My Intro to America.. Pics from Philly..
Dinner with Rita and Rick Willams family along with Orkhan(from Azerbaijan) and Seanghuoy(from Cambodia).. It was such a warm and beautiful time we spent with them- in fact one of my best moments so far in America; It was the day I realize that America is more than just Wall Street, Hollywood, hamburgers and international politics. Thank you Rita and Rick..
A scene from the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia. The market is established in 1892 and its the oldest continuously operating farmers’ market in United states.
From East to West, from poor to rich America is as diverse as India in many ways.
Some of my non-American friends I made in America in the first month..

Mawphlang's Sacred Grove
The sacred grove of Mawphlang, Meghalaya is
undoubtedly one of the rarest places in the world- Its an undisturbed
patch of forest since many many years; protected by its own
people from generation after generation. Anything belongs there remains there, for ever!. Grass to trees, everything that grows in this land lives and dies here. When most of its people still depend on firewood there is no one collects a thing from this
living forest. I heard sons and daughters of Mawphlang do not even pluck a leaf from
here and take it outside. There are no CC cameras to keep an eye on its beloved people and curious guests who come from all over the world. There are men and women inside this sacred grove with their little
ones, but in the form of monoliths. Vertical ones represent men and
horizontal ones represent women and in fact the caretaker had names for some and tons of stories around them. Trust me, each second spent inside this grove was worth breathing.
